Hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains

We're heading to the Blue Ridge mountains to hit up some of the most spectacular views on the entire Appalachian trail—including McAfee's Knob and Dragon's Tooth. 

 

Part of the popular Triple Crown hike, we're going to hit these amazing hikes in one adventure-packed weekend!

All planning, professional adventure photography, private yoga and bodywork, food, snacks, guides, camping, and transportation once there are included.

PLEASE NOTE: Please review our terms and conditions before booking. You must be physically able to participate in strenuous activities such as difficult hiking, whitewater rafting, zip-lining, canyoneering, rock climbing, biking, yoga, etc. in order to attend these trips and you do so at your own risk. Because of the nature of booking these retreats, there are no refunds.

Friday, September 15:

     Arrive at basecamp by 5pm in Catawba, VA (late arrivals are okay, just let us know) 
     Set up camp 

     Welcome activities
Saturday, September 16
     Sunrise hike to McAfee's Knob (~8+ miles) rated Moderate

     Lunch on the trail

     Restorative Yoga at campsite

     Dinner + Campfire

Sunday, September 17

     Breakdown camp

     Hike to Dragon's Tooth (~5 miles) rated Hard

     Lunch on trail
     Departure after
hike

Location  The campsite is approximately 12 miles from the Roanoke airport.

Don't have a tent set-up? You can request to rent a tent, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag from us for $50. Just reach out to womenswildernessweekends@gmail.com

Food and drink  We provide basic meals (think tacos, chili, pasta, sausage, etc.), snacks (energy bars, fruit, cheese, etc.), and n/a drinks (water, coffee, tea, seltzer) but you are welcome to bring anything you'd like.
